Kom zaterdag 20 juni naar Kasteel Radboud voor een bijzondere blik achter de schermen van een restauratie! Jazzy de Groot, restaurator van het 17e-eeuwse schilderij van de Friese koning Radboud, werkt die dag in de Ridderzaal. Een unieke kans om restauratiewerkzaamheden van dichtbij te zien! Normaal gesproken gebeurt dit achter gesloten deuren. Je krijgt antwoord op vragen als ‘Hoe herstel je een eeuwenoud schilderij? Wat kom je tegen tijdens een restauratie? Welke verhalen gaan schuil achter het doek?’

De live restauratie zit inbegrepen bij het museumbezoek.

Middeleeuws Handwerken is een meerjarenproject en de opvolger van het Graventapijt. Zo blijft de opgedane kennis en ervaring van het Graventapijt behouden. Vrijwilligers werken hierbij aan middeleeuwse kleding, zoveel mogelijk op de manier zoals dat in die tijd gebeurde.

Op deze dag zijn de kleermaaksters aan het werk in de Ridderzaal en vertellen ze je meer over het project, zoals welke specifieke technieken worden gebruikt. Middeleeuws Handwerken zit inbegrepen bij het museumbezoek.

Hou jij ook zo van sprookjes? Kom dan vrijdag 10 juli naar het Sprookjeskasteel en ontmoet je favoriete sprookjesfiguren! Je gaat eerst gezellig lunchen met allemaal lekkere dingen. Daarna ga je samen met de prinsen en prinsessen op speurtocht door het kasteel, op zoek naar de code voor de schatkist. Alleen als je goed hebt gezocht, gaat de schatkist open...

Let op: kinderen t/m 12 jaar kunnen alleen onder begeleiding van een volwassene deelnemen aan Sprookjeskasteel.

To a castle belongs a falconer! In good weather, house falconer Birdlive will take you through the history of falconry in the Netherlands and its magnificent birds of prey. You can admire the majestic birds up close and maybe even see them fly.

Attention! The raptor program is outdoors and free to attend, but will only take place if weather permits. Want to make sure the falconer will be there on the day you want to come? Then check this site on the day before you head out the door.
