De Hanzecompagnie slaat dit Pinksterweekend zijn tenten op bij Kasteel Radboud en gaat aan de slag met oude ambachten zoals borduren, boekbinden en touwslaan. De ambachtslieden vertellen graag over hun werk en laten je alles zien.

More about the Hanzecompagnie
The Hanseatic Company is a regular visitor to Radboud Castle. The name has a medieval background: Hanse was an alliance of cities founded by medieval merchants. Cooperation allowed the cities to trade well and defend interests and merchandise, armed if necessary. The Hanseatic cities were wealthy enough to hire knights and soldiers. One of the Hanseatic cities is Kampen, home of the Hanseatic Company. With this name, both crafts and knights are represented.
