Reviews
Radboud Castle Is really a must for young and old. And what a friendly and enthusiastic volunteers. You feel welcome and our son (3 years) had a great time. There is a very nice playroom and there are binoculars in the tower room. Outside on the battlements you have a beautiful view. We will definitely visit again in the future. Our son is still full of knights and pirates.

The stories of Radboud Castle
1572: The Siege of Medemblik
Throughout the centuries, Radboud Castle has been under siege more than once. We love to tell you those stories. In 2022 we celebrate
Floris V: regal reformer or strategic scoundrel? Part III
In the Tales of Radboud Castle Floris V can of course not be missed. Without him the 'Huis te Medemblick' would not have existed.

Foodtruck Festival
May 5, 2024
The Foodtruck Festival is back! Once again this year, the castle square is one big open-air restaurant, how cozy is that? Sunday, May 5, you will find a wide range of foodtrucks with different cuisines. Entrance to the castle square is free. Plop down on the picnic blankets, hook up at the bar tables or take a seat on the terrace and enjoy together. Whatever you do, at least this Sunday you won't have to cook! PS Would you also like to visit the castle? The museum is open during the day, we recommend making reservations.
Lucettes
May 12, 2024
Would you like to do medieval crafts? Come Lucets at Radboud Castle! A lucet is a kind of fork with two prongs around which you wrap threads. You can compare it to punnicking. In the Middle Ages it was widely used to make coat fasteners. Lucets is included in the museum visit.
Grave Carpet Theme Day
May 12, 2024
The Graven Tapestry of Radboud Castle is a unique multi-year project, where a tapestry is made in the medieval manner by volunteers. They have been specially trained in this traditional method of embroidery for this project. On this day you will find the embroiderers themselves in the Knights' Hall with one or more of the tapestries. They will tell you more about the project, such as which specific medieval techniques were used. They will also demonstrate how they set the embroidery stitches.
