"Are dogs allowed in the museum?"

No, dogs are not allowed in the museum. Service dogs are of course the exception to this. Dogs are welcome on the square and in the Castle Cafe . When the falconer is present, dogs are also not allowed on the square and in the Castle Cafe due to the safety of the birds of prey. On our activities page you can find when the falconer is present.

"I've emailed you/ticket orders, but why don't I hear anything?" 

It may be that the mail from Radboud Castle has ended up in your junk mail. If you want to make sure that our mail messages are not blocked by your spam filter, add us to your safe list of contacts. You can also check your spam box from time to time.

"How long does a visit to the museum take?"

The castle is not very large. You spend on average about an hour and a half in the museum. Depending on whether you have children with you who would like to stay in the play attic a little longer or if you would like to listen extensively to all the audio tour points it will take longer or shorter.

"If the castle is sold out, will I be allowed into the square?"

If the museum is sold out, you may as well go out into the square to take a closer look at the castle. Often there is still room in the Castle Cafe inside or outside on the terrace for something to eat or drink.

"Do I need to book in advance?"

It is advisable to buy a ticket for the museum in advance. This way you can be sure that you can enter at a time that suits you. You can buy museum tickets online by using the button below.

"Why can only one person per Vriendenloterij VIP card get in for free?"

Radboud Castle receives a fee per card from the Vriendenloterij. This fee is for one person per card. Different outings affiliated with the Vriendenloterij VIP card have different rules or discounts. What applies at Radboud Castle is also listed on the Vriendenloterij VIP card website.

Today we enjoyed a delicious High Tea, well catered for by very pleasant staff in a beautiful castle! We also sat outside on the terrace in the sun. Really a must!
