Spring Crafts
Don't know yet what to do in the May vacation? Come to Radboud Castle! The theme is spring and of course we will make something nice to brighten up your room.
Spring crafts are included with the museum visit and are on Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 2.
Medieval encampment
Come to the Medieval encampment and see how things used to be. During Pentecost, Sunday, May 19 and Monday, May 20, the Hanseatic Company will pitch its tents at Radboud Castle and engage in old crafts such as embroidery, bookbinding and rope-making. The craftsmen will be happy to tell you about their work and show you everything.
Falconer
A falconer belongs to a castle! In good weather, our resident falconer Birdlive will take you through the history of falconry in the Netherlands and of its magnificent birds of prey. You can admire the majestic birds up close with your own eyes and, given the right conditions, even see them fly.
Violet & Billie
In our medieval herb garden live Violet-Shrinking and Billie Bee. Will you join them on an adventure?
Lucettes
Would you like to do medieval crafts? Come Lucets in Radboud Castle!
A lucet is a kind of fork with two prongs around which you wrap threads. You can compare it to punning. In the Middle Ages it was widely used to make jacket clasps. Lucets is included in the museum visit.
Reviews
Wonderful place to go especially during theme weekends. Nice games for staff parties. Good exhibits. For the kids fun games, a nice play loft, a scavenger hunt and a nice diploma if they completed it. In short, definitely recommended to go.
