More about the Book of Hours
The Book of Hours on display in the Knights' Hall during the Day of Calligraphy theme day is called "The Luttrell Psalter." A book of hours is a handbook for what to do in what season.
This particular book was commissioned by Sir Geoffrey Luttrell in the early 14th century. It is a pictorial account of rural life in England in the late Middle Ages. The language in which it was written is Latin.
